Ich habe mir erlaubt, ein Statement zu „90 Jahre Burgenland“ abzugeben – und so, wie es sich anfühlt, hat es weniger mit den aufregenden vergangenen 90 Jahren zu tun als mit dem Status quo der Jetztzeit. Es dauert 2 Minuten und 13 Sekunden, nennt sich „Reflexion zu zweit – Ein jubilierendes Land im Dialog“ und versucht nicht mehr und nicht weniger, als die Diskussionskultur in unserem Land zu würdigen. Genau in diesem Sinne verstehe ich mein Statement als Beitrag zur Diskussion. Unter Umständen lohnte es sich, das Accessoire der Installation als Zustandsbeschreibung des gegenwärtigen Burgenlandes entschieden abzulehnen: Befreiungsakte sind gewiss nicht unmöglich, aber die Sessel wiegen – besetzt wie unbesetzt – doch schwer.
